Does your gear work well with Icelandic weather?

Yes it works as perfectly as it gets. We have carefully selected our suppliers to have quality over quantity.

Tents are expected to handle rain, wind and snow very well.

Iceland campsites

In Iceland you can expect to find a campsite in each town and frequent tourist places.

Can you set up tents and prepare everything for my group?

Yes we do offer this service, it is based on offers so if you are interested in this please send us a line to and describe what you have planned and we’ll send you our best offer for work & gear involved. This can be groups ranging from 10-1.000 people, we’ll make it work!

Opening hours for Out Camping.

Our office hours are from 09:00 – 17:00. We are flexible on this however so feel free to give us a call and make special arrangements.

Pickup and dropoff location.

You can come by our office to pick up the equipment during office hours. Currently we are meeting customers after closing hours but we are working on a system so you can pick up and drop off items after closing hours.

We can also deliver the equipment to an address of your choosing for a small fee of 19 euros.

My flight is late/cancelled, can i still pick up my reserved items?

You can collect your equipment any time. If you will be delayed to the next day please let us know or else we might choose to rent the equipment to other customers.

Is there extra cost for dropping off late?

Equipment needs to be returned at the agreed time or you will be charged for any added time, if you need it longer please let us know and we’ll extend your booking for the same daily rate as you’ve booked for, this is no problem at all.

Fair policy on damaged or lost equipment.

We understand that equipment can be broken by “wear and tear” and this is not on your responsibility to pay for. However missing equipment and damaged will be charged for at market price unless it can be fixed. If the equipment can be fixed you will be charged for the hours of work involved.

Take care of our gear as your own and you won’t be charged at all! : )

Secure online payment. is an associate with Borgun which handles all online transactions safely through their gateway. We never see or keep your credit card details anywhere.

Cancellation policy.

If you can let us know timely or at least 48 hours before your rental starts you will receive a 100% refund. If your rental starts within 48 hours you can ask for a 50% refund.

Returning the gear early does not prompt a refund for the unused days, however if there is special circumstances let us know and we’ll consider our options.

What is your privacy policy?

We do not share any personal details you provide us with anyone outside of Out Camping. Your personal details is not sold, giver or shared with anyone under any circumstances.

Do you ask for a deposit?

No deposit is required.
